Kevin Kahler
Kevin Kahler attended the Mason City School of Auctioneering (Taylor) in 1977. He has been a licensed auctioneer since 1979and a licensed appraiser for many years. He has also had a real estate salesman license with Land Services Unlimited Inc. He has been associated with Auctioneer Alley of Auction America since 1977 and has done many equipment and real estate appraisals since that time. Kevin started farming at an early age and has had a lifetime association with his family. He is part owner and serves on the Board of Directors of The Farmers State Bank of Sherburn, Sherburn Bankshare Group and the Sherburn Insurance Agency.He and his brother, Ryan hold a 1/3 interest in the Souix-Lyon John Deere Dearlerships at Doon and Ireton, Iowa and serves on the Board of Directors.He has 1/3 interest in Kahler of Iowa, LLC, which is a private grain elevator with over on half million bushels of storage.Kevin and his family are advocates of good farm surface and sub-surface drainage. They install miles of tile each year with their own equipment. In 2005 they installed over 20 miles of tile and understands the drainage systems on farms sold for clients.Kevin and his family are interested in alternate fuels in agriculture and is a minority shareholder in newly formed Trimont Wind Farm LLC. With 68 wind generators, they will be involved in selling the first farm, with generators in place on December 21, 2005 near Worthington, Minnesota.He has been a lifetime native of Martin County, Minnesota and resides at Dunnell with his wife, Nora, who has the NK Clerking Branch of Auctioneer Alley. She also works with State Farm Insurance at Fairmont, MN and places the majority of advertising for the Kahler Auctions.Kevin and Nora have two childeren, Seth who works with a testing company in the Twin Cities area and Leah, who attends the University of Minnesota in Duluth.
