Allen Kahler

Allen D. Kahler has been a licensed auctioneer since 1954 and a licensed real estate broker since 1960, selling approximately 100 auctions per year including farmland, residential and commercial land, farm and construction equipment, antiques and household items. He has been a Court Appointed Commissioner on four occasions dealing with highway, park and sewage treatment centers condemnation. He has done appraisals and testified in court in Pipestone, Murray, Cottonwood, Watonwan, Blue Earth, Nobles, Jackson, Martin and Fairbault Counties in Minnesota; and has testified on various occasions in Federal Bankruptcy Court. Allen, along with the various companies that he is associated with, do approximately 200 appraisals per year, which range from simple to very complicated in depth appraisals for condemnation, divorce, estate, etc. He is also a member of the Minnesota Farm Managers and Appraisers. Allen is a licensed Real Estate Appraiser in Minnesota, Certified General Appraiser (Lic. #4001603) and a Licensed General Real Estate Appraiser in Iowa (No. CG01797). He graduated from a three year course for the Certified Auctioneers Institute at the University of Indiana. He has taken and continues to take, educational courses in the State of Minnesota for various real estate and appraisal purposes. He is also a real estate broker in Minnesota. Currently, the Kahler Family Association (not a partnership) of Allen, Marlys, Kevin, Ryan and others are involved in the ownership of about 2,800 acres of farmland in Minnesota & Iowa, and operate or manage approximately 4,000 acres. They are also involved with John Deere Dealerships. Allen is involved in the ownership and on the Board of Directors of Kahler of Iowa LLC, B&A Farming, Inc., Lake Fremont Feeding and Storage, Inc., Land Services Unlimited, Inc. & Auctioneer Alley of Auction America. Allen and Kevin are also landowners and shareholders of the Trimont Wind Farm, LLC. Allen, along with his wife Marlys, reside on a farm south of Sherburn, Minnesota where they have lived 
since 1959. He is a lifelong resident of Martin County.

Doug Wedel
 
Doug Wedel is an Auctioneer licensed in the State of Minnesota and is a graduate of the World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa. He is a partner in Auctioneer Alley of Auction America, an auction company with offices in Fairmont, Sherburn and Jackson, Minnesota. Auctioneer Alley holds or is involved with between 200 to 250 auctions per year of all types, including farmland, machinery, antiques, household and residential real estate.

Doug has also fulfilled all the education and requirements to be a Cerified Residential Real Property Appraiser with an appraiser license number of #20001136. Land Services Unlimited, Inc. does approximately 300 appraisals per year, concentrating on farmland, building sites and farm machinery. In addition, Land Services Unlimited, Inc. lists and sells real estate with the emphasis on rural property.

Doug is a life long resident of Martin County, Minnesota. He lives on a family farm west of Fairmont with his wife, Lisa, and children. Doug farms approximately 800 acres; owning two of the farms he is operating.

Kevin Kahler
 
Kevin Kahler attended the Mason City School of Auctioneering (Taylor) in 1977. He has been a licensed auctioneer since 1979 and a licensed appraiser for many years. He has also had a real estate salesman license with Land Services Unlimited Inc. He has been associated with Auctioneer Alley of Auction America since 1977 and has done many equipment and real estate appraisals since that time.
 
Kevin started farming at an early age and has had a lifetime association with his family. He was a part owner and served on the Board of Directors of The Farmers State Bank of Sherburn, Sherburn Bankshare Group and the Sherburn Insurance Agency until they sold to Bank Midwest in 2011. He and his brother, Ryan, are owners in the ICON Ag & Turf John Deere Dealerships at Doon, Ireton, Lawton, Le Mars, and Paullina, Iowa and serves as the President on the Board of Directors. He has 1/3 interest in Kahler of Iowa, LLC, which is a private grain elevator with over one half million bushels of storage. Kevin and his family are advocates of good farm surface and sub-surface drainage. They install miles of tile each year with their own equipment, allowing for a good understanding of drainage systems on farms sold for clients. Kevin and his family are interested in alternate fuels in agriculture and is a minority shareholder in Trimont Wind Farm LLC. with 68 wind generators.
 
He has been a lifetime native of Martin County, Minnesota and resides South of Fairmont with his wife, Nora, who has the NK Clerking Branch of Auctioneer Alley and places the majority of advertising for the Kahler Auctions. Kevin and Nora have two children. Seth, who works with a testing company in the Twin Cities area, is married to Jennifer and they have a beautiful daughter, Avery. Leah is married to Dustyn Hartung, who are both involved in the family operations.

Ryan Kahler
 
Ryan Kahler, Auctioneer since 1984, is a graduate of Reisch Worldwide Auction School. He has taken University of Minnesota Agriculture and Economic Courses, along with auction business. He is involved in the family farm and grain interests,as well as, machinery appraisals and is a partner in an implement dealership. Dustyn Hartung
 
Dustyn Hartung attended the Continental Auctioneer School in 2010 and has been a licensed auctioneer since that time. He is also a licensed Real Estate Salesman with Land Services Unlimited Inc. Dustyn attended Minnesota State University where he took business management and economic classes.

Dustyn is actively involved in Auctioneer Alley Auction America, which sells millions of dollars of real estate, farm and construction equipment, antiques and miscellaneous items every year.

Dustyn is very active in a farm operation of approximately 5,000 acres in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa, along with other family members. This operation raises corn and soybeans and uses manure from hog operations to help fertilize this land. This operation is involved in a large grain drying complex with approximately 800,000 bu. of storage capacity. This operation also installs miles of tile each year with their own equipment, allowing for a good understanding of surface and sub-surface drainage on farms sold for clients.

Dustyn and his wife Leah are land owners of three Martin County, MN parcels of bare farmland and are also involved in ownership of shares in Halmark LLC, a Minnesota Farmland investment company. They are involved in two large swine confinement buildings which have the capacity for over 4,800 head at one time, finishing over 9,600 head per year.

In Dustyn’s free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends along with downhill skiing, snowmobiling, and scuba diving with his wife. Dustyn and Leah attend St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn, MN. He recently served 6 years on the Martin County Pork Producers Board.

Darwin Hall
 
Darwin is a graduate of Jackson Area Vo-Tech in Farm Management and Operations. Additional education includes course work at Kaplan Professional Schools and various other classes related to real estate appraisal.

Darwin is a licensed auctioneer and real property appraiser. He conducts many auctions each year involving farm land, farm equipment, antiques and household items. Along with his involvement in the auction business and real estate appraisals, he is currently operating a 1,500 acre farming enterprise located in Watonwan and Cottonwood counties, with his brother. Dar has been a member of the Watonwan Farm Service adviser board, Watonwan County Pork Producers, Watonwan County Fair Board, Madelia Saddle Club and is an associate of Auctioneer Alley / Land Services Unlimited, Inc.

Darwin is a lifelong resident of the Watonwan county area and currently reside, along with his wife Amy, on a farm southwest of Butterfield, MN

Larry Bremer
 
Larry Bremer was born and raised in Martin County, Minnesota. He was a USDA Farm Service Agency County Executive Director for 25 years—the last 19 years being in the Martin County FSA Office in Fairmont, Minnesota. He retired from FSA on August 31, 2011. Larry developed a strong knowledge of wetland and other eligibility issues and has always strived to help producers maintain their eligibility for USDA programs. 

Larry obtained his real estate license on May 15, 2012 and became a member of the Land Services Unlimited team later that month. Larry works with agricultural real estate sales, farm management, and assists with residential listings, household auctions, and appraisals. Larry and his daughter Leslie are the owners of the Buchan & Bremer Crop Insurance Agency, LLC.  

Larry also has interests in the sheep industry, being a founding member of the Mount Rushmore Consortium—a small loosely knit group of Polypay sheep producers using the latest technology to advance the breed. He is the sole proprietor of Elm Creek Polypay, which uses intensive grazing management, non-traditional feedstuffs, and limited medications. Elm Creek Polypay is a flock of 60 Polypay ewes, selling breeding stock into 11 different states. 
 
Larry is a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Northrop, Minnesota having served on its Board of Christian Education, as an Elder, and as church secretary. He is also a board member of Martin Luther High School in Northrop. Larry spent 18 years coaching junior high girls.  
 
Larry and his lovely bride of 30 years, Annette, have three adult daughters. They both enjoy cooking, biking, and spending time with family and friends. They have hosted foreign exchange students from Korea, Taiwan and Slovakia.

Leah Hartung
 
Leah M. Hartung is a graduate of Mankato State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Human Resources. She is a licensed Appraiser Trainee, #40337381 and a licensed Minnesota Real Estate Salesperson, #40110134.

Leah along with her husband Dustyn, a licensed auctioneer, are both actively involved in Auctioneer Alley-Auction America, which sells millions of dollars of real estate, farm and construction equipment, antiques and miscellaneous items per year. Leah has worked for many years clerking these auctions.

Leah also has had many years of experience working with her father and mother. Her mother working for many years in insurance and owner of NK Clerking, and her father a lifetime agriculture investor involved in banking, ownership of shares in several John Deere dealerships, and buying and selling farm and construction equipment, trucks, tools, etc. 

Leah is actively involved with the Martin County Pork Producers, St. John’s Lutheran Church Board of Education, a Junior High Sunday School Teacher, and WINGS Women’s Group. Leah loves to run in her free time and participate in road races throughout the year. Leah and her husband reside south of Fairmont, MN with their beautiful dog, Bella.
